Gastro2019 Conference will be held at TSB Arena Wellington 27-29 November
Of behalf of the organising committee I would like to extend a warm and windy (pun intended), invitation to you all to join us in Wellington for the next NZSG ASM. We have an amazing line up of international speakers including our medical keynote speakers Charles Bernstein, Manitoba; Jeremy Woodward, Cambridge; David Hewett, Brisbane; Nick Talley, Newcastle; Simone Strasser, Sydney, and Mingyan Cai from Shanghai as well as special guest appearances from Nick Burgess, Sydney (ex-Wellington!) and Chris Mulder, Amsterdam. Our nursing keynote speakers are Di Jones, Queensland; Ann Framp, Sunshine Coast and Lydia White, Rotorua (ex-Oxford).
The website and registration can be found here.
Wellington has been voted the coolest little capital in the world and it is widely known that it can’t be beaten on a good day! For all those other days, there’s still the cafés, restaurants, craft breweries, arts and culture scene, Weta workshop, Te Papa, Cuba Street, Zealandia and the vibrant Wellington waterfront which will be the location for our conference.
We are working hard to put together a fantastic programme with local and international speakers covering a wide range of topics to entice even the most jaded conference attendee.
The conference dinner will be a highlight as usual and this year’s theme “What we do in the shadows” will be sure to bring out everyone’s dark side!
This year is “the year of the trainee” and so we will be having a special event on the Friday afternoon after the conference for our gastroenterology registrars to mix and mingle with some of our keynote and local speakers to help them further their career planning.
Look forward to seeing you all in Wellington,
