Presenters Profile: 

Professor Marion Winkler

Dr Marion Winkler is a Professor of Surgery at Brown University Alpert School of Medicine (Providence, RI), a Surgical Nutrition Specialist, at Rhode Island Hospital.

She has over 40 years of experience in managing enteral and parenteral nutrition in acute care, critical care, home care and expertise in short bowel syndrome.

Dr Winkler received a BS in Nutrition, from Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland Ohio), an MS in Allied Health and Clinical Dietetic Research, from the University of Connecticut, and a PhD in Health Sciences, at Rutgers University (NJ). She is past President of ASPEN and Rhoads Research Foundation. Dr Winkler currently serves as the Associate Editor of JPEN, on the Editorial Board, Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (JAND) and Topics in Clinical Nutrition and Medical Advisory Board for LIFT-ECHO (Learn Intestinal Failure TeleEcho).

Her research focuses on the quality of life of home parenteral nutrition dependent patients and the validation and implementation of the Home Parenteral Nutrition Patient-Reported Outcomes Questionnaire (HPN-PROQ).
