Olympus - NZSG GIG Endoscopy Evening
NZSG supports the Auckland University Gastroenterology Interest Group, a great cohort of students keen on gastro. The group recently held an Endoscopy Evening with approximately 30 students in attendance. The evening, saw each student spending approximately 6 minutes on either of the Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy or external model simulation set-ups provided by Olympus under the supervision of Dr Judy Huang, Dr Cameron Sehauer, Dr Catherine Tian and Liz and Mieke from Olympus.
This was a unique opportunity for students of all year-groups to gain hands-on engagement with endoscopy under the direct attention of experienced gastroenterologists was well received.
Dr Judy Huang facilitated the event and gave an inspirational talk on the details of her journey to Gastroenterology. Students enjoyed a Q&A session and shared kia with the facilitators at the end of the meeting.
Gig Members thank MacMurray Centre, NZSG, Olympus, Dr Judy Huang, Dr Cameron Sehauer, Dr Catherine Tian and Liz and Mieke from Olympus for helping make this event possible.
