APAGE Research Programme Award 2026
Objective
The overall objective is to foster closer cooperation and strengthen friendship among gastroenterologists in the Asian Pacific region by providing research funds to a research project.
Description
This programme is designed to annually award one research project proposed from the Asian Pacific Association of Gastroenterology (APAGE) member-societies for a one to two-year period. The research project will consist of internationally cooperative studies. APAGE will make the final selection of an international research project from among the applicants recommended by APAGE member-societies
Eligibility
Applicants should be members of individual APAGE member-societies, and the research project members should come from two or multiple APAGE member-societies, and not from one membersociety. The applicants will appoint a research leader / principal investigator who will submit the proposal to APAGE.
Application Process
The research leader / principal investigator must submit the proposal using the application form together with the project proposal and also proposed budget to the APAGE President. The application process is confidential. Information will not be released other than in compliance with any waiver or consent given by the applicant.
Quantum
The APAGE will provide a research fund of USD20,000 in total per project.
Terms and Conditions
The applicant must abide by these rules and regulations and the decisions made by the APAGE Research Fund Committee:
The length of the study period is within two years.
Funds will be in USD and 75% of it will be released once the award has been decided. The balance of the amount will be paid when an interim report has been received that the project has been at least 80% completed. A full report will be required to be submitted within one month after the completion of the project.
Termination of funds may be considered if the conditions of the fund are not observed.
Acknowledgement
It is mandatory for the awardee to report the research results in publication and/or APAGE meeting immediately after the study ends.
Due acknowledgement should be made of the contribution of APAGE in the event that the research group presents or publishes the results/paper.
