Announcing Our President Elect 2025
Professor Day is currently the NZSG Executive Secretary managing the research portfolio for the Society. He will be the first paediatric gastroenterologist to be President of NZSG.
Andrew is an academic paediatric gastroenterologist based in Christchurch. His paediatric training and fellowships were completed in Aotearoa and Toronto, Canada
Professor Day has held appointments at University of New South Wales and Sydney Children’s Hospital (Australia). In New Zealand he has held joint clinical and academic roles since 2009.
Andrew is looking forward to building on the huge undertakings of the current and past leaders of the Society. He is also looking forward to continue advancing the role and impact of the Society in NZ for members and the wider community.
