About the Role
Overview of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) fellowship programme
The IBD fellowship programme at the Herston campus (including the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, the QIMR Berghofer MRI, and the University of Queensland Centre for Clinical Research) commenced in 2011. The aim of the programme is to provide highly motivated clinicians with an opportunity to extend their clinical and research expertise in IBD and Gastroenterology within one of Australia’s leading centres. The programme wishes to attract those who are interested in a clinically focused fellowship,
Purpose of the roles
To provide excellent care to the IBD patient population.
To perform high quality research at Queensland Health.
To provide high quality endoscopic care.
To continue training and education in Gastroenterology.
Mandatory qualifications/professional registration/other requirements
Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or eligibility of registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
Certified copies of the qualifications is required with your application.
Completion of the FRACP exam (or equivalent) with at least 2 years of advanced training in gastroenterology and hepatology
Eligibility for recognition of competence in upper endoscopy and colonoscopy by the Conjoint Committee for Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (pending award of FRACP)
To be appointed at the Senior Registrar classification l(L10-13), you need to have Specialist Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
